Ordering

We have invested heavily in our infrastructure and internet connection at Coombe Academy Trust to make this level of IT provision possible, and ensure that our schools are best equipped to support the teaching and learning of our students.

We are therefore asking for a contribution from parents/carers to cover the cost of the Chromebook for your child. We have worked with our suppliers to secure the best possible pricing available, and are pleased that our pricing for the 2024/25 academic year is lower than last year.

Pupils who are currently receiving Free School Meals in Year 6 will receive the same device package free of charge. If you are unsure your child will be eligible for Free School Meals or would otherwise struggle to afford the payments, please contact the school to discuss what options are available to you and how we can help.

We would like to encourage parents/carers to make payment for the Chromebook outright/in full, if possible, as this saves both the family and school time in administration costs.

Our Chromebook orders are placed through the Arbor Parent Portal.  You will have already been sent information about Arbor and how to access your parent/carer account from the school, please contact the school office if you don't yet have access to your Arbor account.

Outright - Recommended

If you are paying in full, simply purchase the 24/25 Chromebook - Outright Purchase item for £290.

Monthly Payments

If you would like to pay monthly, please purchase the 24/25 Chromebook - First Monthly Payment item as an initial deposit of £98. 

This year, for those parents/carers wishing to spread the cost over monthly payments, they will be required to make subsequent payments through the School Shop in Arbor. There will be payment items for each month available, where you can then make the remaining 6 monthly payments through separate payment items in the Arbor School Shop.

Please ensure that you make the remaining payments on time each month, and if you wish, you may settle more than one at a time to repay the full amount sooner.

Free School Meals

If your child is eligible for Free School Meals at their current primary school, please contact us by emailing chromebooks@coombe.org.uk to confirm their eligibility. We will be able to provide your child with a Chromebook at no cost when they start Coombe in September, once we have been able validate this information with your council. There is no need to contact the school further once you have notified us, as you will receive a confirmation email from us.

If Arbor shows a cost other than £0.00, please do not place an order on Arbor, but instead contact the school office to inform them of your child's FSM status, using the email address shown above.
